In 1980, renowned Industrialist Mr. L. K. Jhunjhunwala founded a trust named “Shree Lakshmi public Charitable Trust” with the objective to uplift rural education, girls education, health care and various social issues .
In this view, the trust established the first Girls college with a BA course in 1994. Management College was founded with an MBA program in 1994, which was the first Management College in more than 25 districts. Later on in 2005 trust started several professionals and distance learning courses for the participation of left out & part time professionals to excel their career. The Retail management, personality Development, Fashion designing, Health care and many more courses were running in the professional college.
In 2010, trust signed a MOU with IGNOU to start a face to face program in several branches of polytechnic. That time only govt. polytechnics were running these programs. In 2010 several factory owners discussed in their forums regarding scarcity of educated and skilled manpower to help in automation and adaptation in new technology. In 2012 trust started the ITI program to provide skilled manpower to factories. which was a very successful thought of our honorable chairman sir. In 2013, trust applied to AICTE to run a polytechnic program in civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. The polytechnic course was very innovative & the institution builds state of art workshops and labs to achieve the objective of the program.
Our Hon. chairman was very much keen since long to serve for health care. In this view trust started Jhunjhunwala Institute Of Medical Science with four paramedical Diploma programs ‘’Operation Theater and Clinical Technology , Diploma in Trauma care, Diploma in optometry & Diploma in Physiotherapy. Which was the first paramedical course in commissionaire . In the coming year the trust has taken Ayush programs like DAP, DHP, GNM (Ayush), ANM, GNM, D.Pharma.
To better serve health care services, the trust built a first super specialty hospital in the city of Ayodhya in various specialities like cardiac, respiratory, ortho and pedia.
In 30 yrs of journey the trust created 5 lacs sqft building, 20 acres of land and 250+ employees in their different colleges and hospital.
